Some things just ain't that great!

Basically this post is all about products that i have bought and not really liked. I think its safe to say that everyone hates buying a product and after using it once or twice deciding its not great and is actually a really big disappointment. I for one can say that I have had my fair share of rubbish products. I have documented them all below for you so if you ever think of buying them in the future I can save you the disappointment. If I can help just one person my job will be done! Sooo with out further a do here are my top worst products!!

This heat protection spray is absolute crapola! It is really sticky and matted my hair it has terrible! Stay as far away from it as possible!

I didn't realise when i bought it that it had self tanner in it. I thought it was just a moisturiser so i slapped it on before bed and woke up the next morning with orange streaks ( not a good look). I tried to put it on carefully and let it dry evenly but it still went streaky. I find this product to tricky to get right so to me its not really worth the effort.

This product claimed to give you natural curls that were bouncy and lovely....LIES!!! It made my hair heavy and gross, oh and my hair wasnt curly at all! So yeah this one is a definate no go zone!

I was super excited to try this product when I heard about it. Basically what it is supposed to do is change colour with the temperature. The colour goes from purple when its warm to pink when its cold, to change the colour I literally had to dunk my hand in a bucket of ice for 10 seconds for it to change to pink, the pink lasted about 20seconds before my hand thawed out. So yeah basically this product is a liar.

This is a random one but the main reason I hate it is it smells bad, like really badd!!

Okay so this says "Light Feel" but it is anything but light... its oily and sticky and just not great.

Anyhoo I hope this little rant about bad products I have bought will help save you from buying them. Let me know it you have bought a product that wasnt great, I would love to hear about it.

HOW TO: Aquababe Eye

  

 Products I used to create this look were.... 

I used this as a primer for my eyeshadow and also as a highlight under my brow and on the inner corner of my eye.

I used this Australis palette called Karma. I used the yellow all over my lids and then the blue in my crease. I blended them together and then on the outer corners of my eye I add some more of the blue.

OH and I almost forgot i put under my eye to about half way.

I used this yellowish concealer on my waterline. I put it the whole way across.

I used my brow kit to fill in my brows next.

After filling in my brows i used my studio finish concealer with a flat brush under my brows to give extra definition.

Then I use liquid eyeliner on my top lashline.

Finally I layer on the Mascara!!!!

Highlight and Conture

My Secret to a perfectly contured/ highlighted face is...SEPHORAS SCULPTING DISK!

It comes with bronzer, highlighter and a matte finishing powder.

 I swatched each of them below the bronzer is quiet pigmented so i always tap off the excess that is on my brush. The highlighter gives a really nice sheen to the face. I use it on my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose and sometimes under the brows. It can be used on its own but i like to put my blush over the top of it to create abit of lift. The finishing powder is not very pigmented and works for alot of different skin tones, I have used it on my friends who have olive toned skin and it works well on them.

To apply my bronzer I use my conture brush. I apply the bronzer to my cheeks and jaw line.

I then apply my highlight with a blush brush to the bridge of my nose, brow bone, cheek bones and sometimes my decolletage.

Lastly I use the finishing powder to blend everything out, I do this with my Kabuki Brush. I apply it all over the face.

What is your favourite thing about yourself? 

This a tough one because I don't want to sound up myself but i think it would have to be my eyes!

A box of tissues, im sick at the moment :( and i also have my favourite hand cream!

LONDON!!!! I currently live in Sydney and I have family in England and whenever I visit I LOVE IT soooo much!

What makes you happy?

Using new make up for the first time and recieving parcels in the mail with my online shopping, it is so satasfying unwrapping it! 

Do you collect anything?

When I was 5 would collect stamps off letters, i had heaps. Then around 10 i collected rocks and gemstones, i still have them my collection is huge. Now I like to collect make up and high heels, I cant help myself! Its really bad!

What is your biggest phobia?

I am terrified heights, i can do planes but when im on a talk balcony or on a cliff walk my legs feel like jelly!

Do you exercise?

Yes, I go to the gym 3-4 times a week, i really enjoy it once im there. But i'm lazy so it takes alot of encouragement to get there haha.

Who was the last person you spoke to?

My mum <3

Food of choice in a restraunt?

I go to thai restraunts most and i always get Pad Thai with chicken its amazing!!!

What is your favourite memory?

Its hard to choose just one but i loved going to Disneyland California, I'm a big kid! :P

What is your worst habit?

Impuse buying and sending all my money! I cant save my money! I need help!! haha

The M must be for Magic!!

Barry M you've done it again! My friend from England sent this last year and I love it! When I first opened it and saw it was green I was like huh?? But I thought it was a bit of fun so i tried it on and to my surprise it wasnt green it was ACTUALLY a really nice pinky red colour!



This is it on... but its alot darker in real life!



I dont know how it changes from green to pinky red probs just a bit of magic! I was seroiusly interested to find out how it works so I looked it up and i found out that the alkali level of you lips determines how pink the colour will go! So its a bit scientific! I find that this is more of a lip tint than lipstick because it lasts ages and makes you lips look stained. Another little bonus is that its WATERPROOF!! *woohoo* I love waterproof lip products because my lip stick tends to get smeared half way across my face!...trust me its not a good look! The shade is TMPL you can buy it online :) I did a bit of a photoshoot for my lipstick, here are photos. Enjoy!

April Favourites!

Sorry  haven't posted in a little while, I am back at school now and have exams so its a little stressful at the moment haha, but i thought i would do an April favourites post because I have gotten some new things which I absolutely love and cant wait to share with you all!

  

The two Rimmel London products above I bought at the beginning of the week and have used them nearly every day since! The Glam Eyes HD eyeshadow creates a really nice smokey eye and on the back it has a step by step guide which is really useful! The Scandal Eyes Lycra flex is one of the BEST mascaras i have everrr used! It doesn't clump and it layers really well, also because of the Lycra technology it feels really light, some of the other mascaras i have used feel heavy when you layer it on.. but not this one! *cheers*

This wallet is from Sportsgirl it was $24.99 it is really good and has loads of space inside for credit cards, coins and notes. I'm love fluorescent colours with greys, so when i saw this i snatched it up. I always get compliments on this wallet, its defiantly my must have accessorie! 

These Revlon brushes are fab! they are so soft and easy to clean, I literally use them every day! I think that if you have good brushes your makeup always turns out 1 million times nicer!

This Argan Oil treatment does wonders for your hair! I put it on when my hair is damp from the middle lengths to the ends and it not only gives a healthy look but also makes your hair feel like silk!

This is my everyday perfume it is a really lovely smell and the bottle is super cute. I find that it lasts all day and night which is fantastic!

Last but not least my Kate Moss Lipstick by Rimmel in the nude colour, this is such a pretty lipstick it is really flattering and has a nice finish to it. I particularly like it because its a good one for everyday wear and its nothing too outrageous!
